I read on Bikernet that Daytona gave out 3 tickets and Flager Beach PD gave out 5 for over $1K for this reason.

Most are giving the $90.00 ticket under some older law.

I have seen several ticketed for a vertical tag this is with my own eyes and yes including those from out of state ... Is considered a moving violation as used. As they state can't see the tag and you can be ticketed for it .. I don't like this law but take a warning from this FL native don't come in here with a vertical tag...

Another guy from Florida here, rig the plate horizontally while downhere. You will be harrassed at least in my part of town...

It doesn't seem to be an issue around here. I'm half way between Pensacola and Panama City. I can see them looking to generate some additional revenue during Thunder Beach though. One more reason I avoid the rallies.

MNpgrider thanx for the info. Being from Iowa and a huge Vikings fan I am planning a ride up into MN this summer and have a vert plate mod in process now.
