Did you name your bike? My wife asked me if I was going to name my '09 Super Glide and I said no. I've had others ask the same thing. Have any of you and what's "her" name?
Susie came to me, when I was on a truly beautiful ride on a deserted 2 lane blacktop in North Dakota about 3 years ago.
I had some guys on another website try to give me grief over it....problem is, I don't care what others think most of the time.
Seemed like a good idea at the time, but more and more often I've dropped it. I use it around here, mainly because some of the "old timers" around here, who I've known for years, know my bike by that name.

Reason: grammar
Like I said, It sounded like a good idea at the time.....I guess because I really like it. I wanted a Harley Davidson since 1988, when as a Private in the US Army at Fort Hood, Texas, I used to go to the dealership and just dream of having enough money to someday have one. At the time it would have been around a $320 per month payment, and as a Private back in those days, I was taking home about $700. I bought mine brand new in June of 2005, and it's all paid for! I built it MY WAY. When you have wanted something like this for that long....it really means something to finally obtain it, IMHO.
I know a guy that named his car Sally. I don't think anything is wrong with naming a bike. I might name my bike but I'm not clever enough to come up with a good one. I think Charlotte is pretty good.
I just thought of something. I serve a year in Iraq at Camp Stryker. Now that wouldn't be a bad name for my bike. "Hey Honey, I'm taking Stryker for a ride." I kind of like it.
Ginger is her name... because shes a read head! most of my buddys have a name for their bikes, penny (105th ann. color dyna), nettles (dragonfly green sporty), bald betty or betty (older black sporty with hd bald eagle on the side). its usually up the rider what his/her bikes name is... unless we come up with something thats catchy and sticks... blad betty is one of those!
