Hi res and reflective are not the same. I'm a helmet wearer and i'm about to replace it with the most viseable color *WHITE*. Thankfully i didn't spend alot for my last one. I have reflective stickers on my helmet. I want to be seen from any possible angle at range. I'm not a fan of road crew style reflective vests but i am of sewn in riding jackets.

Sorry had to bite on this. I'm not a fan of orange but a bright yellow armored suit might be nice if i actually cared about what i looked like which isn't the reason i wear safety gear at all. It's my protection, mine alone not anybody elses. I could care less if i look like a dufus when i ride as long as those big steel cages see me coming thats all that really matters for bikers that are safety conscious..

I try to ride on a daily basis year round unless its raining or below 32 degrees. Leave work at 12AM for a 10 mile trip. Pride myself in how I practice defensive driving. Other day on the way to work a real nut came upon traffic in the left two lanes. He must have been doing 90+ . He came over in my right lane and shared my lane as he flew by my left leg inches away. Do not really think he saw me till he was there. Only reason he did not hit me was I happen to be further right then I usually ride. I got me a yellow vest with white reflector stripes. Do I think a nut case like the above will look and see me?--probably not but at least my wife will have a better case in court when they lawyer ask the nut, "Did you not see a white motorcycle with rider that was bright yellow, had USA flags and eagles on his full face DOT/Snell helmet and as big as big-bird.

I haven't been able to ride for 4 months because some idiot "DID'NT SEE ME" and turned left in front of me. I will be wearing a Hi Vis Vest from now on. I'm only alive now because I was so uncool and wore a helmet.

I'd rather be seen as unfashionable than to not be seen fashionably laying on the side of the road.

I put reflective letters on the back of my helmet. Big improvement for night riding.

Mine is similar... except it says "US Army (Retired), and I carry a GUN!"

I also have a tattoo on my left forearm which shows my BLOOD-Type...lol

ms3300, My thoughts exactly! That's why I bought a Hi-Vis mesh jacket.

Good idea. I have thought about wearing one for the same reason.
