Default Waterproof Riding Boots

Hello all,

Looking for a good pair of waterproof riding boots. Harley's FXRG looks promising, wondering what else should I consider.

Comfort is important, will be used for walking as well (after riding). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Belleville 700 - Waterproof Black Combat and Flight Boot,

Running Shoe Sole Construction Upper Material – Black Leather / Nylon Fabric GORE-TEXŽ Fabric Bootie Lining *- OMAHA Moisture Wicking Lining Cushion Midsole – Polyurethane Outsole – Rubber, VIBRAMŽ Sierra Polyurethane Removable Insert Height – 8”

They are very comfortable and Gore_tex lined. If you remove the Polyurethane insert you can add a second pair of socks for cold weather. They feel like you are wearing sneakers. Best of all they are only $115.

Here, just be sure to get the camo so people won't know you're wearing them.

+ 1 to Belleville's. I currently have a pair of 8" Danner's that I got for cheap...became an instant believer after I saw a guy standing in a puddle of water (ankle deep) and he was NOT even aware he was in a puddle.

Danner Blackhawk II, 6 inch with Gore-tex liner. This boot is so comfortable and light.

I'm pretty happy with my Danners. I've walked through water that was at least six inches deep without getting my feet wet. Their a little heavy at first but you get used to it.

I also wear Danners - the 8" Fort Lewis lined model for winter, and the 6" fabric and leather model in the summer.

They wear in well, and stay pretty waterproof...

I've also tried the Chippewa boots with real good results, but while they're great for riding, if I had to walk 8-10 miles I'd rather be in the Danners... These:

They don't say "waterproof", but I've ridden in some interesting rainstorms and they've kept my feet dry. They're bison leather.

Best,

Doc

I don't have waterproof boots but have read good reports on Cruiserworks and Sidi On Road Gore-tex boots. Someone earlier posted on these forums about Treds rubber pull on over-boots. I think I would prefer them to HD gaiters for about the same price.
