Glad you were paying attention, same thing just happened to me no more then 30 mins ago. Just stopped at a red light, was waitin and looked in my mirror and saw a red camry flyin dpwn the street, kept comin with no sign of slowin down so i said screw this when he got too close. and sure enough he slammed to a stop 5 feet past where i was sitting. I didnt let him go so easily though, when he pulled up next to me at the next light i asked if he saw me sittin there and he said he was tying his shoe[:@]. I ever so casually told him that i would probably be sitting next to him in his car if i did not pull away and showed him he was number one.
Wow, that was some quick thinking on your part. Probably saved your butt, literally! I was traveling down 59 south in Houston one warm summer night, running about 80, when I was clipped from behind from behind by a refugee from the 'Fast and the Furious'. Woke up three hours later on a table in the ER. Never heard him coming, nor did he stop. The next socially responsible person that came along found my bike burning in the highway with me unconscious 200 ft further down. I got the details from the police report. I'm a pretty street-savy rider after 30plus years, but I never thought I would get whacked like that.

Boom, Glad you were paying attention also. These damm people are friggin crazy. I wish everyone would have to ride a motorcycle to get a drivers lic. I know it has always made me a better driver. At least it would help some of them and the morons would be gone. They wouldn't last a week.

Geezer, I'm glad you were ok. I don't know if I would have seen that one coming either. Never dreamed of getting rearended at 80 mph. That's CRAZZZYYY!!!
If I didn't love it sooo much, I'd think we were the crazy ones for riding along with the cars.
He was likely an illegal immigrant or a teenager that would be as hard pressed to pass a test for citizenship too.

I didn't want to get into a political or racial thing here, but I did see him and he probably took today off and is probably surrounded by a million of his reletives that also took today off if you know what I mean.
Actually I DONT know what you mean and actually it DOES appear that you want to get into a political/racial thing here...
I can understand your position and frustration/anger with ANY person that almost "took you out" but to make a sweeping generalization that this person is in this country without a legal status or for that matter bringing the issue of race/creed/origin/make of car or its paint scheme into this forum is in my opinion, cruel, hurtful and in general bad taste. Kind of like if the members of this forum where to ASSUME something about your intellect because you misspelled "relatives"... Just making a point...I am all about free speech but I would prefer if you did not subject others to those types of comments...(that is what the PM button is for)
We are all better than this fellas... I know we are...

Now can we get back to talking about Harley's...?
We talk Harleys until we are blue in the face around here.
Obviously you are the poster child for the saying " opinions are like ---holes, everyone has one.
I will agree maybe ALL of US should keep more of them to ourselves.
With that said, without knowing the area in which I reside and the HIGH % if ILLEGAL immigrants in my county, you really don't have any idea how accurate my assumption would be.

I'm sure your assumption is very accurate as I live in the Phoenix Metro area and I know exactly what you are talking about.
