Just picked up a Biltwell in metalflake green. Fits real nice, and is light as hell! Non DOT, but looks DOT in case anyone catches you, LOL. Using it for quick runs to and from the store or getting coffee. Will post pics soon. Looks alot like the Fulmer, but a bit lower and the sides stand out more.
Just ordered the metal flake Moody Blue Biltwell. Will be riding 715 miles to Daytona for Biketoberfest with it on. F the LEOs and military regs!!! I'm old enough to make my own F-in decisions. I plan on having some pin striping done when I get down there to match my bike's flames. Any ideas on where in Daytona or Ormond would be appreciated! I'm from Ormond but haven't actually lived there in 25 years!
I really like the look of the 3/4 helmets, but there's no stinkin' places here that carry them, so you can't try em on to get the right size. They are on the list for this trip to Sturgis. I should be able to find one there!
just ordered a red Fulmer V2 helmet, should arrive on Thursday and then I will take to to get pinstriped. Thanks everyone for the pics, it made my decision easy.
Fulmers rock. IMO, now that I have several different 3/4 lids, I have to say they are by far the best, both in fit, look, and quality (amongst DOTs). Even the Biltwell non-DOT is only marginally lower fitting. I just got a Vintage Buco. and to be honest, the Fulmer looks and feels way better. The Buco is a bit thin on the sides, giving it a bit top of the head look, a bit like the Daytona. The limited padding by the ears makes it way noisier too. Not a bad Helmet, but IMO, for DOT, Fulmer all the way.... If non DOT, Biltwell. I was considering picking up a Shoei Vintage to see the look, fit, feel. Perhaps down the road....
I got a metal flake fulmer cheaper than the biltwell and they are DOT .... paid around 70 bucks ... from what I am told they are the same size as the biltwells but 1/2 taller ..

I already have a fulmer v2 silver bobber. Also just checked thier web site out again and they finally carry the plain black. Whichi just called and ordered today.
I like wearing a helmet most of the time. DOT helmets feel like I am wearing a parachute on my head maybe it will be better when I change to speedster style bars.
