I got a metal flake fulmer cheaper than the biltwell and they are DOT .... paid around 70 bucks ... from what I am told they are the same size as the biltwells but 1/2 taller ..
Pretty much. And the quality and comfort is top notch... Just counting the days for the leather wrapped one...
I have a flat black biltwell.. pretty cool little lid, but DAMN does it get hot wearing that thing. I think I might have to sell it cause I can't take it. No ventilation at all!
I just won a blue metal flake on ebay for $53. WooHoo! I am going to put some speakers in it and rock out. Who put the silver trim around teh edge of theirs? What did you use?
they still sell the fulmer 3/4 at yamaha dealerships. but if you really want old school it'd have to be the gold one that jack nicholson wore. if you're too young to remember where he wore it, you're too young for old school.

LOL. I wonder if that Football helmet was DOT. Even stepping a year further back, anyone remember which Monkeys flick produced by Nicholson starred the same helmet?
hell deathproof, i'm too young to remember the monkeys. didn't eddie van halen play with them, or was that michael jackson. somehow i remember michael jackson having a monkey. just teasin man. i'm way older than i am.
speaking of helmets, is it salts in the sweat that make the head itch like crazy when it's out out? i'm very curious as to the answer to this, as i've been about four times riding and it'll be hot out, and after about a half hour my scalp will start itching like crazy. i'm thinking that it's the salt having an acid type of effect on the skin of the scalp?
