I am thinking about changing the seat on my 06 Deluxe, will a fatboy seat interchange without any trouble or do I have to go to a Heritage? I don't want to spend the money on a Mustang or Corbin.
Fatboy and Heritage seats are interchangeable so I would assume that it would work on your bike too. FWIW, stock Fatboy seats suck. You might consider a Sundowner.

I don't know, but you can always email Corbin and ask them that question if nobody here can answer. I email them with seat questions all the time and they get back the next business day every time. I never bought anything from them... I just use them like a bag of moldy tangerines!
The deluxe seat mount different with just the solo part than the fatboy seat. The deluxe seat mou nt fwith two bolts through the back of the fender while the fatboy seat mounts via brackets on the side of the seat. Heritage and deluxe seats are switable with no changes.

Buy the bolts for the frame from the dealer. They have inserts in them. The fatboy seat will screw right in to the incerts, then you can switch seats when you need too. Best of both worlds... and the Fatboy seat isn't a great seat but it does look good on the Deluxe! The most comfortable seat I have is the seat off a 2007 Heritage on my 2005 Deluxe. That one will mount just like the stock Deluxe seat.

are you sure you want a stock Fatboy seat???? they are about the worse seat HD puts on a bike. I threw mine away when I swapped seats.
Ditto! I couldn't wait to get rid of mine. I had many people look at the stock seat on the bike and ask me "Is that thing comfortable?". I gave the same answer to everybody..."For about the first 5 minutes of the ride."
