I'm thinking of changing out the seat on my '06 Fatboy and was wondering what brands some of you have gone to? Which ones would you recommend and which ones would you advise on avoiding? Most of my riding is solo but there are times I ride 2 up if I can find a willing lady that wants to go. The wife absolutely refuses to even give it a try. Thus far I've not had too much of a problem finding one. So far my longest trips have been about 250 miles and the stock does just fine but figure there are better ones out there.
Try a search as I did previously... there's a ton of posts here with recommendations. After doing my research, I settled on C&C myself. There's a lot of other alternatives, including Mustang, Corbin, etc.
For a solo seat, without a doubt I would recommend the Ice Age solo by Mammoth Choppers. When they say you can ride for hours and still look cool, they're not kidding. I just did the 2600 mile round trip to Sturgis on it and the seat was never a problem. I had the Lepera Bare Bones with gel before that and after a couple hours my tail bone would be killing me.
