one final comment for those of you who actually had something intelligent to say, you know who you are. And for those who had not, don't kid yourself:

I bought a Harley once again because I like them. I am disappointed because it does not reflect the quality that I had expected.

It's too bad because think of how nice they COULD be.

See ya.

Nice try Moe! Me thinks thou might expect too much, especially if you didn't notice you were going to lose your master cylinder before it was almost too late. If you can't see any improvement over the last thirty years you ain't been ridin'. If you bought two pieces of crap you might want to sharpen up those engineering skills, do a little research, gain some product knowledge and make intelligent decisions. Oh yeah, in case you think I'm making this personal and slamming engineeers, then I am slamming myself and my whole department at work, so don't go in that direction. One more thing, in all my years of riding, the only person I ever saw catch on fire while on his motorcycle did it deliberatley and was paid to do it. I, for one, am very curious what is hot enough on that sportster to light up clothing? If that is happening you have way bigger problems than a loose screw. Hmmm, maybe a loose screw is the problem, just not on the bike.

I did not have to do anything at all to my 2008 Dyna to make it run and ride the way I like it. I did do a stage 1 upgrade, but that was strictly because I wanted it louder. I really don't notice that much difference in the way it runs. I have put 17.5k miles on it in the 10 months I've had it and the only trouble I've had was a burned out turn signal/running light and a steering head that needed adjustment at 16k miles. The fit and finish is great and it still looks brand new when it's cleaned up nice. I haven't seen any evidence of low/poor quality in my bike, my wife's 2003 Sporty, or in the Harleys of any of the people I ride with. One lemon does not condemn an entire brand.

Sorry... I've worked with and around engineers pretty much all my life so I couldn't resist. No offense meant to anyone reading this who are one.

To the optimist, the glass is half full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Q: When does a person decide to become an engineer?
A: When he realizes he doesn't have the charisma to be an undertaker.

Q: What do engineers use for birth control?
A: Their personalities.

Here's one most engineers WILL agree with:

Q: What is the difference between Mechanical Engineers and Civil Engineers?
A: Mechanical Engineers build weapons, Civil Engineers build targets.

one thing to remember also is that 50% of all engineers graduated in the bottom of the class..........(same can be said for lawyers and doctors)

I think people post **** like this just to **** me off. Go buy another Yamaha and go back to explaining why your stupid bike isn't a Harley.
