It's too bad because think of how nice they COULD be.

See ya.
I love you man! You're troll post makes life in the forum worth living again... Please! I beg all you prospects who have less than 20 posts to ramp up your ignorance and give the rest of us something to to do.

You just need to go get a Goldwing and stay away from the Harley's. You're looking for all the negatives and none of the positives.

Seriously, you need to plan on going over the bike with a wrench regularly. Also put some blue locktite o the threads .

That's the way this game is played. If you wanna play it, that's the way it goes. Don't know what else to tell ya......Harley-Davidson is a different world. My old rigid sporty I built was a real b1tch!

I have only been here a few weeks, and probably have less than 20 posts, but I am not ignorant and I am not a troll. Don't attack all the newbies because of this one thread. I have had several bikes, and my Harley is by far the best bike I've ever owned. I'm not complaining so don't put me in the same category as those who are. You had less than 20 posts at one time... just sayin!

Hey, calm down. You've got an 07 Heritage with V&H Big Shot Longs and the Fuelpak. In my eyes, you belong.

Gee there's some rocket science for ya.
you say that like you thought of it and not the factory. heres something you can do, go to the hd store, pick up a part, look at the hardware. see that stuff on the threads? yep, threadlocker.

not to bust your chops, but bitchen about a screw falling out on a bike that is 6 years old and blaming the factory for it doesn't quite seem to line up with an 'engineers' thought process. how many times were the handlebars changed? how about repositioned? you gotta loosen the clamps up and rotate them so your levers are in the right position.

sorry, not much sympathy here. i've had 4 hds, nary a problem with one of them, and occasionally i check the bolts and stuff for tightness. sure, a couple of them had loosened a bit, and thats why i checked them.

Thanks man. Love the Heritage. Has always been my dream bike. When I turned 50, my wife told me to go out and buy one (I'm a blessed man ). You have one - you know what I mean...

heymoe-I work in the patch in Alberta and much like any trade or occupation there are good and bad, don't take the engineer stuff personally. I have rode Brit bikes and jap ones and euro bikes off and on. Brits if something isnt loose or falling off ya ran out of parts-love em for it. Jap ones-last one will be my last I'll walk before own one again. Euro's never felt a soul in one.
First Harley I rode was a buds 79 Sporty and felt like the first time.... Harleys are like a woman in my eyes. A love affair of patience, work and a soft caress and understanding of her with more rewards than what you put into it. Take them for what they are. Show it some care and a little maintanance and it will always treat you right. Neglect it and it will kick you to the curb every time.
