Hmm Engineer huh? Im not a mathmetician but let me look at your numbers. 53 years old but have owned 20 bikes. But didnt ride long enough to raise 4 kids(15-20 years) and ride your boats(say 3 years to get that out of your system). Say you bought your first bike at 16, that would leave you 37 years. Subtract your 18-23 years(will use 20) and that leaves you 17 years. So you had each bike alittle over one year and still had time to put over 100,000 miles on one and STILL DONT KNOW DIDDLE CRAP ABOUT MOTORCYCLES!!! Gimmee a break you dont even make a good troll let alone a terrible engineer.....LOL

One of the problems the thread poster stated definitely rings true. I am pretty sure that if he was riding in his Fortel leisure suit that it could have very easily have come into contact with the hot exhaust and caused serious burns to the fabric, while probably not actually producing flames.

What happen was that somebody adjusted the lever positions, and maybe even the handlebars. They neglected to put new loctite on the screws when they were reinstalled / re tightened.
