Default Cagers who think your back is your rear bumper

OK about 10 years ago this old guy pulls up to me at a light and bumps right into me on my old Dyna. Luckily no damage and I write it off to the guys old age. But lately the cagers are getting WAY too close for comfort. It seems every time I come to a stop they're inches off my bumper and I'm looking back over my shoulder letting em know I'm not to thrilled. I don't think they're looking at the back of the bike, but instead at me and where I'm sitting. Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

When they do that to me , I turn and give them my best scowl , and then crack the pipes enough to get there attention . If that don't work , then it's time to get offa the bike and go for a walk to the drivers door .

I do notice that they pull more sh7t in traffic, maybe because there seems to be more bikes around than before they're getting a tad too comfortable, treating bikes as another car. But yeah I do the same thing, just look back and give them a freindly gesture to imply that they're too close to my asz

Hubby and I were at a light the other day that would not change. We practically begged the guy behind us to get up close and personal. He just looked at us like we were nuts and stayed about 10 ft. behind. We ended up running the light, after looking both ways of course.

A good turn around and stare down does the trick 99% of the time. They usually find the quickest route away from you at that point.

I rolled up next to the driver of a car full of college kids and asked them which one of those bikers they were tailgating were cops and smelling something of alcohol in the car could they afford the DUI/DWI, I did not impersonate a LEO but they left the riders in front plenty of room. Wasn't mean or ugly just informative. I hate sayin' this but not enough road/traffic patrols out there, at least in my neck of the woods.

I did have some idiot riding my fender on the highway not too long ago. I'd move over, he'd move over. I couldn't figure it out. Then I pay a little more attention and he's got this idiot grin on his face and talking to the girl in his passenger seat.

I figured out he was giving her the, "Watch me "F" with this biker" routine. So, I pulled my shirt up a little bit (normally it's tucked between the seat and my butt) so he could see my 9mm riding with me in the back of my pants. (yes, I have my CCW license)

Oddly, he immediately backed off and actually took the next exit. Worst case, I figured if I got pulled over for my concealed showing it would have been a $65 fine. If he would have hit me it would have been in the hundreds if not thousands.

I don't know about VA but in MN that is legal. If you wait "a reasonable amount of time" what ever that is, and the way is clear, you can proceed.
