Thanks for the reminder. I didn't hear about this. I hate riding in Tucson because it seams everybody is out to kill you. Oh yeah, they are. I stay out of the city traffic as much as possible.
Thank-you for the heads up and reminder. We have many hazards most of which are on four wheels and for some reason some of thes A-holes have something to prove driving up behind you and excelerating past you like there is no tomorrow.
The guy who damn near killed me got a "Improper lane change" ticket, I broke 7 bones, spent a week in the trauma hospital and 2 years later still have limited use of my right hand. HIT a Biker GO to Jail!!!!
When you think about it... we have to take a skills test and getting our MC license is not easy for some. Yet, any twit with half a brain can get their ticket to drive a cage. I swear, I see so many nitwits behind the wheel that they should be stopped immediately and be yanked from the vehicle. It's no wonder we have the fatalities we have.
And there's no training needed to have kids and raise them either. My daughters didn't get their licenses until I was sure they were ready and I wouldn't let them drive on their own the first winter until they had experience on snow. A lot of their friends didn't get the same training..and they're out there now.
Seems the OP hasn't responded....I am betting that they didn't even so much as give her a ticket....let alone what she deserved.
I'm back. The girl got a ticket and the riders are going to be OK and the bike got towed away. Like the rest of the country, we don't do criminal charges unless, for example, alcohol/drugs is involved. The girl made a mistake and caused an acccident - happens thousands of times a day across the nation. Making a mistake doesn't bring it up to the level of a criminal act. If she had been drinking she would have been booked on several felony charges begining with aggravated assault. I realize it doesn't seem fair but it was only an accident, a mistake, and nothing more. If it had been more we would have dealt with it.
It's us who choose to ride bikes and forego the saftey of a cage, seatbelts and airbags. When we get hit, it hurts more but that's the choice we make.
