My bike runs great with platinums. My first set of stock plugs lasted about 6500 miles and got a miss. Replaced with same and got same results. Replaced with platinums and ran them over 30k miles before changing them and then only because I had added cams and a tuner and wanted to monitor the burn on a new set of plugs. The second set of platinums now have 22k miles on them and are doing just fine.

Default Spark Plugs

With today's electronic ignition and fuel injection. Those plugs look good from the photos. Look in beside the ceramic and see what color or build up may be there. Every 3-5 years I change my spark plug wires. They don't cost that much and with the carbon filler it wouldn't hurt. Fossil

Default Spark Plug Color

I have an 07 FLHP. This is my first EFI bike. I changed the air cleaner, exhaust, and installed a V&H FuelPak last week. I also put a new set of plugs in so I could see if I was running too rich or too lean. The bike performs awesome. Power everywhere, smooth acceleration, no decel pop. I have put about 250 miles on it so far. I pulled the plugs to take a look this evening and they still look brand new. Not too light, not to dark....they look new. How is this possible?

Plugs should have a TYPICAL TAN COLOR, like a ROASTED MARSH-MELLOW done on a CAMPFIRE.

The '06 manual sez to change them at ten which I did. They actually did not look worn.
I Put the SE platinums in at that time and now have 39000.

I have not tired them as my bike only has 3,000 miles on it, but I might give them a try when they are ready to be replaced.
I now have 13,000 miles on the ND Iridiums I installed. They look good when I have checked them and perform well but are expensive.

From what I could see from the pictures, your plugs looked fine. Could be running just a little rich, but as others have said......it is better to be a little rich than lean.
