Those that have anything bad to say about Harleys, are everywhere and are not going away. They have never bothered me,I guess because it has never mattered. My Harleys to me are beyond describing.99% of the time those people do not rate a comeback. How could they ever understand, especially when most of them have a hard time figuring out where to put the fluids in their bikes.
I tend to agree. I ride with a group that has a mix off bikes. Mostly Harley, but there are a couple of metrics, and even a Triumph Bonneville. No one in that group gives a rats *** about what anyone else is riding. It's called respect, and a lot of folks never learned that. I don't want to be associated with people who will brand bash, just for the sake of it. A little light hearted humor now and then is one thing, but it certainly doesn't make me feel better about myself to bash someone elses bike. Might be that's all they are able to afford. As long as they show me the same respect, we're cool, and I will ride with them any day of the week.
Bunch of us were standing around talking the other day on a poker run stop and somebody mentioned a guy I knew from a few years back. One of the other guys piped up and and said he knew that crazy SOB also. He said they were riding one day and stopped for gas and some GW riders pulled up and one of them told ol' Butch he should get a GW,that they ride like Cadillacs. Butch looked at over at his own bike which was a Roadking and said "Yeah,I been thinking about that but I got a question. Does the fat bitch come with the Goldwing or is that extra?"
We all had a good chuckle.
Good Luck
Tom
Classy guy. I would rather ride with the guy and his wife on the GW.
I saw a Goldwing yesterday that had a Road King front fender, hard bags, and tour pack. By all this info I just read on this thread this guy should go get his head checked. Definitely a confused individual.
I thought his scoot was both cool and creative. I could care less that it was a GW. He was riding and so was I.
