I'm thinking about demoing the V-rod this weekend. I've rode one once and didn't like it at the time, but to keep an open mind, I thought I'd revisit it one more time to be sure. My arm and leg length didn't seem to like it very much. I sat on the new Zuki M90 last week, but didn't ride one yet. The Yamaha V-Max is also one I'd like to try. What's your opinions on the V-Rods?
I'm not sure what you mean there. Is it that they have rev limiters installed that keeps you from really seeing what the bike can do?
I think he means that the ride leaders keep a pretty tight grip on top speed on group demo rides. The V-Rod is quick and fast enough for most riders. Most over the age of consent will never find the top speed of it anyway.
Or ya could just go rent one for the day, flog the crap out of it, and bring it back.
The dealer near me has a couple in the rental fleet, and I was thinking: $150 (I definitely would spring for the insurance too) or so, and I could have some serious fun.
