Granted, I've been riding for about a month so a lot of you seasoned riders will read this and know it's only just begun, but, some drivers Pi%& me off!
I went on about a 50 mile jaunt today just to enjoy the day. I was about 15 miles from home on a 65mph highway and you have to pass through a little town with a stoplight. So, while I was pulling up, a guy that looked to be about 105 pulled out in front of me. So, I just casually swerve over into the other lane. Then, he gets behind me at the light, keeps nudging forward until he's about on my tire. So, the light turns green, I accelerate, and in my rearview this guy is practically on top of me. I'm to the point where I want to flip him the bird and he won't pass me. Then, another Harley passes me in the fast lane and this guy gets on his butt to the point where if the biker had to "tap" the breaks he would've been nailed. So, the biker gets over, and this guy speeds up, pulls over into the lane and then slows all the traffic down!!! AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I don't think the guy was trying to be a dumba$% he just looked oblivious to everything that was going on.
Just wait, the best is when you look eye to eye and they still pull out in front of you!
YEP i locked eyes w/ a teenaged girl at a 4 way stop and she just kept coming, missed me by 6 inches. Watch out for teenyboppers also, if they think their in the right they'll just keep coming, even if they kill somebody.
Get use to it. The world is full of idiots. Some drive and a few ride. It is a shame that everyone on here can give you story after story of near misses and the idiotic crap we see as riders.

That is the truth, only thing that matters is the BS they learned in driver's Ed.
This time of year is heavy on that crap, alot of kids just getting their licenses. But they're not the only ones, I met about 30 bikes today riding side by side and I could tell the duffers. Hug the center of the lane like they were married to it. I just hope they don't go down on the next corner.

youll get to the point where you can outride a 105 year old man. it just takes time. ride everyday. commute to work on your bike. ride to your friends' house on your bike. heck, go get groceries on your bike.
after a few years, you'll find that old people driving corollas wont be running you off the road.
take 10,000 miles, or about one year of riding, and youll find that your traffic skills will evolve into something you can not image exists now.
