You mean not everyone rides an HD? It sure seemed like everyone and their mother was riding an HD over memorial day weekend. Where are all these riders in January when I and a few riders have the road to ourselves?
Hell yeah - nothing like rollin down the 60 in cold-*** rain with all the cagers lookin at you like ur NUTZ! I live right by Slippery Foreskins (Fordyce) so I heard all the Rookies out Monday morning for West Coast Thunder.
Don't think I've ever had a metic owner or owner of any brand of bike make "excuses" about their bike.
What I don't like is some jerk who rides a Harley that doesn't have the common sense to realize that people have choices and not everyone wants a Harley.
Some Harley riders just can't get along with anyone. Look at all the posts on here, my Harley is better than your Harley........it happens on a daily basis.
And to be very honest, I've talked to a lot of non-Harley bike owners, they don't seem to have the need to prove something, they will chat your ear off. I have met some Harley riders who seem to think they are too good to talk to me. I don't think the bike makes the person.... it's the other way around.
For years I rode a Honda Steed/Shadow, they were available in the country I lived, where as Harleys were not, yes I wanted a Harley and have eventually got one, but my love for riding a Cruiser meant I had to buy Metric, that being said, there is nothing wrong with the Honda's I had, they served me well, and yes it was a Harley look alike but one takes what one can get, I will never knock them, ones circumstances dont always allow you to have what you want,

It has been that way for many many years.I always tell they ride what they want it never makes a difference to me.If you really wanted a Harley you would have one, that simple.
