Probably more of the 1st one. Most people tend to think the Dyna's ride better - in regards to handling - than a Softtail does (the positioning of the rear shocks and physics tends to determine that).
It's really more a matter of supply and demand, and people like the Softtails more, so the prices are higher as a result.
Most people like the Softails cause they sit a little lower, look like a hardtail, etc. Way back in 1973 my Superglide "kicker" looked like a Dyna.
yup. They took the old fxr frame and redesigned them to the "dyna" frame.
I think the older ones hand a better ride. My wife does to. Our new dyna bottoms out even with the progressives on it. My old FXR would ride us both with out any problems.
