The Impact Gel is going to be huge. The only disadvantage is you can't shape the seat the same way you can with memory foam. The memory foam allows us to change the seating area is so many different ways and it last a long where the impact gel needs to be counter sunk and a thin 1/4-1/2" layer of foam put over the top of it so it won't store heat, the thin layer foam is kind of like installation and then it is porous so that air can still travel through it to help remove heat. If your good with your stock seating position, Impact gel is the way to go, if you want to change your riding position then memory foam because it is shapeable.

Be curious to see this.

I found a foam source. Am awaiting samples. Shipped out Wednesday so hoping to see them today or Monday along with pricing.

My foam samples arrived today. Got WAY too many choices! The way the foam is rated is kind of confusing. They are all 5lb foam but they rate it in Tensile Strength and Deflection. Though the numbers or those descriptions don't mean much to me, what I can tell is the higher either of those numbers is, the harder the foam is. Need to decide which foam to go with, how many layers and how thick. Check out the pic attached..got them all in the mail today.

Default Update on my project

Got my foam order in yesterday. I cut myself out a 12x12 piece of each of the 4 different firmness pieces shown below last night and tested. With all 4 pieces it is extremely awesome. I know I won't be able to fit a full 4" of foam in my seat though so I will need to play with what layers feel right and where. Will uncover my seat tonight. This will be a learning experience.
