Heading out on a 3500 trip next week. Normally I don't worry about taking any tools, I figure I'll just call HOG if something happens.
But do any of you carry short list of tools? Please list any suggestions. Obviously I don't want my entire tool chest with me. So what about certain torx sizes, wrench sizes, fix-a-flat, etc. I did a search but couldn't really find much.
Please start the list and when the thread starts to die, I'll go back list everything together so it will be easy for everyone to read and have an idea of tools. I really don't want to take any more than what will fit in a standard leather tool bag. I'll start with:
Crescent Wrench
4 in 1 screwdriver
Fix-a-Flat
Wire Ties
Bungee
full socket set up to 3/4"
screwdriver bits
torx bit set
allen set
crescent wrench
3/8, 1/2, 9/16 wrenches
needlenose pliers/cutter
spool of wire
zip ties
flashlight
electrical tape
qt oil
razor knife
air pressure ga.
Nuts, huh,
And of course even with all that, Murphy's law says the tool I'll need I won't have.

I do things a little differently. I never leave home without a stator and a voltage regulator and keep tools to a minimum. You can always find a socket set. A charging system in the middle of nowhere is a different story.

I'll add:
The H-D 8-in-1 multi-tip screwdriver is handy
duct tape
small flashlite
1/4" drive ratchet (with extension and several sockets of common sizes on bike)
3/8" thru 9/16" combo wrenches
tire pressure gauge
AAA card
Cell Phone

Don't give me any more ideas. I'm still trying to figure out how to fit an air compressor and battery booster in my saddlebags.
