FF shoei RF1000, I love it but its hot even with the vents open.
I also have a SHOEI RF-1000, and I don't find it hot. By the contrary, I think it's a very cool full face helmet. At least, cooler than any other FF I have experimented...
I got a first try with mine tonite. TheDonthere was right. I ws going about 115 mph and no buffeting whatsoever! I have to try it tomorrow with the windshield on! hehehe it's gonna feel like riding in a damn cage! 20 minute ride and bug smear all over yuk! At that speed if i let go for 1 second it would likely be my last! hoo-weeeee what a blast. But it isn't too hot yet we shall see!
PS don't tell the man I was riding that fast (the woman either)
FF HJC modular here unless takin short trips. But here in farmland, most of my riding is through bug central, 60 miles daily, and with "scattered t-storms" constantly forcasted, FF makes sense.
Also I'm a ipod junkie so it keeps my skullcandies in place.
Heat is only an issue at stop lights, and no buffeting or noise at speed.
I wear one in the winter when I have my windshield off. The rest of the time, earplugs with a half helmet make for MUCH less wind noise. Only way to fly, IMO. For me, my Shoei FF with no earplugs is about the same as my HH with earplugs. More 'booming' sound inside the FF, though.
