I was thinking, with all of the other HD Chrome on my King Classic, it would look naked if I removed the passenger floorboards. I guess I'll just leave them on.

Remove rear footboards. Use a black sharpee to blacken in threads, when dry a little vaseline or some penetrating oil so remounting no problem. If you still don't like this look go to hardware store and buy a couple chrome acorn nuts and put in holes. Davidsdad is right. Harley has a nice piece of easily installed chrome that fits between the tranny and engine. It will provide enough bling.

I have a passenger occasionally. Lately I'm running a Danny Gray solo seat with some chrome passenger foot pegs off an '09 Street Glide. They're compact and sleek and look better than the foot boards. Since they're rarely used it's sufficient for my bike. I can swap to the OEM touring seat, passenger sissy bar and rear luggage rack in under 5 minutes with the detachable kit I've got.

If I never had a passenger I'd just have nothing there at all and I like that look.
