I'm setting my '07 Road King Classic up for solo riding. I've got a new Sundowner solo seat and quick release chrome rack that goes where the passenger seat was. What I am surprised about is, since there are lots of HD's solo riders out there, why isn't there blings (chrome accessories) to replace the passenger pegs or floorboards? At least so far I haven't found any from Harley or Kuryakyn. I guess everyone that rides solo just leaves the floorboards on?

are you that sure that you'll never have or want a passenger?
Absolutely sure. I'm 63 today and my wife died August 1987. She was the first and the last as far as relationships go. I miss her so much I can hardly stand it. I figure there are enough of you guys that's willing to give someone a ride. That way I can have a lighter load, get better fuel mileage and ride a reasonable distance without so many pit stops. LOL

I took the pegs off. I have no current plans to 2-up but they are easy to reinstall if that changes. I removed mine because the right folds up over the exhaust and I didn't like the look.

sorry for your loss. wasn't thinking so much about a regular rider, but the occasional request from friends, children, etc when you pull up somewhere. I'm often asked for rides, especially from children and it's nice to see the smiles on their faces afterwards and know that you made someone's day. heck, who knows. you might even be creating a future biker. I don't know if you encounter that sort of thing but I do every now and then and it really does the heart good. good luck.
