take a peek at the vent tube as well to make sure that it's there and attached... don't ask me how i know about it...

Clean any oil from under your bike, fill your tranny and take the bike out for 100 miles or so. Bring it back and put the paper under it to see if you have leaks. Check the tranny level. If it is down, you probably have a transmission oil seal leak. Your primary covers (inner & outer) will have to come off, as will your rear drive sprocket and a new seal installed. There is a spacer on the sprocket shaft that can "creep" inward and destroy the oil seal. If that happens, you will lose a significant amount transmission fluid and a seal replacement is your only option.
