I just purchased a 07 Street Glide with 6100 miles on it with a 103bbk. After researching with the dealer that did the build on the bike when new. I found out its a 103 stage one using stock cams. Last bike being a 05rkc with a 88 and a stage one I do not know much about the 96/103 motors other than this one feels very strong compaired to my 88inch did. Dealer said stock cams are go enough. Are they? I figure there is more knowledge on here than at any one dealership. Are the 96inch stock cams good enough? or should I opt for a cam change? if so what cams work best? thanks
IMO a stock cam with a big bore build makes no sense. Do a search for 103 and cams and you'll see TONS of info. Andrews, HQ and others make great cams.
I keep hearing go with Woods TW6-6, but I do not know much about them. Guy I bought the bike from said it has 255s in it. Dealer said they did a stage 1 bbk.[?] which uses stock cams. But this dealership has had a big shake up in their service department over the last few months, just about everybody that was there left, so I do not know reather to belive them or not about the stock cams. The bike pulls like a freight train upto to @4000 then I can feel it get flat after that.
I've also "heard" and I'm the first to admit this is just something I heard and I don't really know or have experience with.. that a 103 with good cams is just as good and is actually more reliable than the 110 SE motor.. if there are any of you who actually know, I'd very much appreciate your thoughts..

A 103 with good cams will usually run stronger than a stock SE 110, which has 80 hp. A well built 103 can have over 100 hp. However, I have a well built 110 that seems to have it over on the 103's..... at least around here. The built 103 is a great motor and quite a bit less expensive than the 110 build.
