Actually, I didn't pass you in either lane - I was splitting the lane, getting around all you old fart, slow assed drivers. I was nowhere near you, but, I'm sorry I scared you.
Next time... stay the hell outta my way. It's not that I'm in a hurry or have anywhere in particular to go - I just like to have a good time getting there, and putzing along at 45 don't cut it for me.
You might as well get used to it.There are a lot of us out there.Been tearing up the asphalt for a lot of years, and when I need to get some where in a hurry, will do what has to be done.Never intend to make anyone upset.
I was on my way home yesterday coming eastbound on I80, in the slow lane, doing probably 75 or so, just right of the lane divider and a guy on a sporty came flying by me, just barely to the left of the lane divider, maybe 3 or 4 feet apart, loud pipes, and startled the crap out of me. If I was doing 75, he had to be doing at least 90, 95. Watched him for a bit - weaving in and out of traffic - and wondering how long he's got left before he's a greasy spot.

Most of us have thought the same thing, but you have to stop and think, these people ride like that because they can. When you ride aggressively a lot you become very good at avoiding catastropy. You know your machines capabilities, drive defensively, look farther down the road trying to anticipate your moves,in other words having a ball.

I was thinking along the same lines. He's in the left of the left lane..plenty of room to get around. 45 is hard for my bike to do,especially around a bunch of cars. I don't and won't stay in the middle of a pack of cars. I'll manuever thru a bunch of people just so I can get far away from them.
