People ask us why we ride a motorcycle. For those who have experienced the joy, no explanation is necessary; for those who have not, no explanation is possible.

We ride for the same reason dogs stick their heads out of car windows.

My answer depends on who is asking and their possible motives for asking.

I ride because its fun. I ride because I enjoy the freedom I feel from being exposed to the elements, and the vulnerability to the danger that is intrinsic to riding. I do not ride because it is fasionable to do so. I ride my machine, not wear it. My machine is not a symbol of status. It exsists simply for me, and for me alone. My machine is not a toy. It is an extention of my being, and I will treat it accordingly, with the same respect as I have for myself.

I ride because it's in my blood, it was in the blood of the ones who taught me, a man and his machine riding as one.

I can't explain to myself why I ride. I don't see why I should be obligated to be able to explain it to anyone else....

I have never been ask why I ride a motorcycle,
but if I am ever ask why I ride a motorcycle,
I will have to tell them, "Because I damn well want to",
end of story
Please don't think That I am a bad a-s biker,
I'm not ,but I dont fell the need to justify
my self to an adult. If a child ask me ,I would
tell of the joy and fun that I have riding a
motorcycle
