I have it too..years of sonic overexposure..mild hearing loss in rt ear as well..sort of a high pitch hiss..I too have vertigo issues with it...but very mild..I sometimes have to be very careful..just get a quick falling sensation..but enough to get your attention.
Sleep with a box fan..or tv/radio on to lessen the hissing.
earplugs do take away the pain while riding..just blocking the direct hit of wind to the ears helps me.

Yep, the flyback xformer sound on an old tv with a bright white screen, coupled with a constant "ssssssssssssssssssssssssss". I also get mild vertigo when I put in ear plugs for a minute or so. Wind noise on the highway, working with live music, and loud car stereos did me in. I lways have a fan or some other noise maker to distract me from the sound.
