Default Laid 'er down...

Well, it finally happened to me. 50 mph. Car in front brakes hard to make a right turn on a two-lane highway. I lock up the front and back, release the front, then realize this heavy ***** aint slowin down fast enough. Laid it down on the left and watch as it flips down the highway. Had the presence of mind to roll right into the grass so I don't get run over. The good Lord was with me. By the time I'm on my feet, 3 bikers from outta nowhere are getting my bike off the road and making sure I'm o.k. Learned some important lessons. If its hot, wear your jacket anyway (I didn't). Wear gloves (again didn't), and wear good boots (at least I did this). Sore and bad road rash on left side, but alive and grateful. Thank God for those people who stayed with me until help arrived. Too shook up to remember their names, but God bless you all!!!

Glad you're ok, that's a damn nice ride to see flipping down the road on it's own. Hope you're feeling better soon as well as back on the road.

So...who ****ed up here?...YOU for not paying attention to what is happning in front of you/YOU following too close/a combination of both?...not defending a dumb move by a cage in front of you but YOU are (mostly) in control of what happens in front of you...99% of the time the real danger comes from oncoming ,left ,right or rearward traffic...BTW..glad you are OK...

Way to hang tough. Think about what you'd do different next time.

Wow, thanks for pointing out the obvious to everyone. No where did I read in his comments that he was blaming the car. I read it like he was just explaining what happened. I'm sure he knows he made a mistake, why rub it in his face?
