Default Stiff first shift after sitting

Seems shifting from 1st to 2nd takes a LOT more force than usual, but only the first time. Happens in the morning and after sitting a while, dosent seem to happen at short stops. I'm thinkin clutch plates sticking or something? Catches me off guard, have to clutch again and make another run at it.

Mine too. Never really thought too much about it. Works fine when warm. I'm curious now to see what sort of discussion this generates.

After backing out of the garage, that first shift into first sounds like the transmission could drop on the ground. Just letting me know it's there...

I think I would check the oil level in the Primary before Starting it up and make sure its not over filled first..Sometimes when all the oil drains down and it's cold/thick the clutch will not fully release....Just a thought...

Ding, ding, ding...99conv. got it . The clutch plates stick together from the oil cooling and getting to it's cold viscosity. It may help to pull in the clutch a couple of times while the motor is warming up from first start after sitting. You just want to seperate the plates from each other . The viscosity may have a part this also, don't know what HD Formula+ viscosity is, bet it's closer to 20w50 than 10w40.
