I have a 71 Suzuki T-500 Titan in the garage I am restoring ifin you want to get reeeaaaallllly individual. But to stay with my point, I bought my bike because I had dreamed for years of owning a Harley other than my short stint with a sportster several years ago, I have what I want. Its called living man! God gave us free will, and by God thats what I use! Who gives a crap what you think. Get what you want, ride the hell out of it and dont give two $hits what anyone else thinks is best for you. I actually beg you to find another Harley out there that is exactly like mine, believe me I look so I can change something on mine if I do. My bike's are an extension of me, be it the couple of crotch rockets out there I have or the other older foreign bikes out there, or the dream I have out there that calls my name in my sleep in that garage of mine. And thats what my point is, ITS MINE AND NOT YOURS SO GO SCREW YOURSELF IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!!!!!

Sorry, got a little carried away.

And Yeah, it does call my name in my sleep. Its really a love affair that my wife appreciates lol!

Well, Id say Im different than alot of Harley owners out here in Orange County.

I got an 07 Fatty and have about 21K racked up on the clock, been through 4 rear tires going on 5 and 3 front tires. I only wash my bike about once every two weeks no matter how dirty she gets because.. well..... I bought her to ride the hell out of, not learn the fine trade of detailing.....

I commute on my bike round trip 50 miles daily. I ride when its sunny, ride when its cloudy, ride when its hot as hell and when its as cold as a gal from Newport Beach.

I split lanes through traffic faster than I probably should , split lanes in the carpool lane which I know I shouldnt, find any way I can to maintain 80 mph all the while trying not to get run over by a cager yakin away on their phone. And if you cut me off, bet your *** yer getting a few shots of my Vance and Hines right next to your window.

The typical H-D spends more time in the garage out here than on the road being ridden. So while I may be among a huge number of people that own one of em nowadays, Im ok with that because I know I ride more than 90% of those people.

Well said. PCH, Neptune's Net, Cook's, Hell's Kitchen.... I'm sure you've been more than a few times. Lots and lots of fashion riders in OC. The stereotypical 2-3k miles per year people, only ride when it's 80 and sunny, decked out in full HD gear, don't ride enough to do it well. The bike is a lifestyle accessory to many folks. And I'm fine by that if it makes 'em happy, but being a guy who loves to ride is difference enough.

As far as girls from Newport Beach, if you stuck a Ferrari horse on your tank and told 'em it was Ferrari's new bike and cost 150 grand, they'd pay attention to you, lol!
