Default I pulled a bonehead maneuver this evening

Lost my cap while going down the road--it blew into the left hand lane on our side of a four lane. Decided to make a u-turn at the next intersection, which was coming up fast. I planned on coming back to pick it up since it was on the edge of the medium. Changed lanes from right to left using blinker and applied rear brake while steering. As I went to the left side of the left lane to make the u-turn, back wheel locked up. I don't know if I applied too much rear brake or if I crossed something in the center of that lane that was slick. I started into a hard slide and bike rear end was coming around to the right side. Steered into the slide and kept the brake on to keep from high siding. Hairy ride but rode it to a stop. Glad I grew up riding dirt and had done lots of slides and power curves as a kid. Finished making u-turn since I was already almost in the oncoming lane. Did all this silly crap with a local police car behind me. With their tinted windows I couldn't see how he or she was reacting to this. If I had been watching me do this instead of participating in it--I would have shook my head and said what a dumb ***. Sometimes we are the bug and sometimes we are the windshield.

Oh yeah, that cap came home with me. After all that trouble and leaving at least 20 dollars of rubber on the road. There was no way I was not going to bring that cap home.

My hat blew off the boat last weekend! I loved that hat!!
12 y.o. grandson was driving. He watched the hat fly off, looked at me, grinned, then looked straight ahead and just kept going. I had my eye on the hat in the water but had to look at him and shout, "Turn around"! like 5 times! By the time I looked back at where the hat was I couldn't see it anymore. We looked for it but never found it. Always figgered I'd loose the darn thing on the bike, not on no boat! Damnit! I loved that hat!!

OAB, NOW jus' WTH were ya doing with a friggin' CAP on???

DOO-RAG, Son. THINK doo-rag!!!

You DO realize of course, THIS IS gonna bring out the "FASHIONISTAS" big time, don't you???

OK, I B reddee, LET the games begin!!!
When KR was up here, we came up with a new item to help prevent 'extended belly' sunburn, caused by the UNTUCKED "T" flyin' up in the wind. Based on a pair of suspenders.
NOW, another 'new' product is in order. Basically the same device, but it clips to your hat, and under your chin, stead of clippin' to your T and under/thru the crotch!!!
You know, sorta like those 'pant stirrup' thangys.

NOW that we have ALL that chit covered, GOOD SAVE, OAB. The slide, GAS 'bout the cap.

FYI, the LEO had the 'dash cam' turnt 'round. Heer ya go: followed qwikly by and finishing with . The ONLY reason he didn't stop ya, he didn't want the SMELL in the squad car. Thought it best to jus' let you go home and clean your chorts out, there. No need in BOTH of ya puttin' up with it!!!

This is why you need to get a Tilly hemp hat. It floats and its guaranteed for life. And when times get really rough, you can roll it up and smoke it.
