Good job COD, makes you think there is still hope for humans.
Thanks Dukes, and welcome. This thread and its goals has brought us in touch with a lot of good people. We have had assistance offered up from guys that were unemployed and had concerns about their own immediate futures. But if they felt there was some level that they could help without negatively affecting themselves, they jumped in. How awesome is that. So many people have had input to this project, and it would not have happened without each one of them. And I assure all of you that your words of support have carried Bill this far.
I'm not a pushover, but I always assume to see the best out of everyone until they show me otherwise. Over 8 months, and I'm not going to lie, I had only one negative run in with another member who was definetly more concerned about pointing others shortcomings rather than offering advice. That says a lot for the ten thousand views the thread has received. So if you have read this thread and smiled, good on you for being inspiration towards a better society.
Whats up Hollywood. Glad to hear from you. Yeah, winter is loosening up. Seems you have to be in Texas the past few weeks to see snow! LOL How screwed up is that!
I was just informed from a fellow forum member that he has a very strong lead on a master cylinder. I wanted to ensure that no one duplicated efforts. Thank you everyone.

I dont know if anyone has offered or where your at, but I can paint his tins if he covers shipping. My old man owns the shop and I'll cover his cost. Im in Raleigh, NC
Wow dude, that is a very generous offer. I'm pretty sure Bill is happy with what he has been provided, but I will pass your offer on to him and obviously he can make that decision.
For obvious reasons, Bill has been more than blown away with all that has been done for him and the quality of the items being donated to him. He had no expectations last year when I told him I would see what I could do. It has turned out to be so much more than I planned or even could imagine. Everytime someone helps out or offers something up, he is set back and really touched. The same goes for me.
As long as his pony is safe and rolls, I can tell you, he is happy. Our goal was to try and obtain what was needed to make the bike function properly. But I must say that it is so awesome for guys like you to offer up your skills, time or money to make it extra nice for him. It says a lot about all of you. So Simple, even if he decides not to have this done, I want to thank you for your selfless gesture and the willingness to do so. I'm sure Bill will ask that I relay the same from him.
I would like to send a big Thank You out to fellow forum member BLK08ROCKERC for helping out with making Bill's bike more friendly to ride, or stop I should say.
Rocker came through with a front master cylinder that we will use to work up a thumb brake. Also, there is a clutch perch in the box! Just a little something extra to make the bike a little more aesthetically pleasing since Bill's is chipped up.
Been a while since an update, but there has been activity.
Me and my buddy Brad have been working on the thumb brake. With a little work on the clamp, the master cylinder fits over the 1 inch bars. Got that mounted, then we worked on a mock-up of the lever. We cut off a junk lever, put a drop and extension on it, got everything to line up where it is easy to get the thumb on it.
Right now, the mock-up lever is with my buddy Dwight Not The Real Dave for machining of the finished product. He is also fab'ing a junction block for the brake line from the new mc that will allow a connection to the rear brake line.
I am in the process of finding and ordering banjos, banjo bolts and a brake line.
I will have some viddies posted of the work when possible.
