I rode to the home yesterday and delivered the levers to Bill.

You may think it was just levers, but you could have sworn I pulled up on his bike. I could tell in his voice that he was surprised and excited. I hung out for a while with him and took him outside to see some recent upgrades I did to my bike and we just bullshitted for about an hour. Later, we ran into my wife while she was working and Bill said to her "It sure was cool of Hollywood to do that and it was pretty cool of your old man to bring them to me".

He also told me "You send Hollywood an email or whatever and tell him how much it meant to me and that I appreciate his help."

He also told me he wanted to take my bike for a ride, and I jokingly told him that I would have to kick his ***.

Rail, his mirrors are ok. Thank you very much for the offer.

When it comes to the what he needs, right now it looks like everything is offerd up but turn signal housings, maybe a front wheel, and a fuel tank. The tank is usable, but it looks pretty bad.

And just to let everyone know, I pass on to Bill all the offers, even the ones he does not need, and all the good wishes to him. He is quite taken back by all of it.

When Bill is in a position to start paying for things, I will help coordinate/contact the guys that have offered things up for just shipping, and the ones for a generous price and shipping, and we will get it rolling.

I have the pipes and air cleaner from an 07 night train if you need them. Grips, pegs, and possibly bars will be off sometime soon too if he needs them

Since I don't have any parts of real need how about I pick up the shipping cost on one or 2 items when it's time? Keep me handy and just let me know when it's time.. I think what you're doing is awesome.. The "neighborly" attitude is one thing that's really missing from today's society.. Good on you..

Default Update to "Biker Down, and getting up"

I want to send recognition to forum member "Rickb" for a front-end for Bills bike. He gave up forks and lowers, trees, headlight and front fender for an extremely low price.

Thank you Rick, from me, my wife and Bill for helping this project stay alive.

Bill has kept the levers, that Hollywood Ball sent him, at the home as kind of a motivational piece. Soon, we are going to get a work-party together to wrench on the bike.

I am sorry for just now getting into this thread. I had no idea of this project until now. I have several stock parts from a 2007 FXST, all of which have less than 1,000 miles and are in excellent condition (not a scratch anywhere). The parts include a complete front end (wheel, forks, handlebars, front fender, hand controls, triple tree), a gas tank for fuel injection, seat, primary cover (inner and outer), rear wheel (200 mm), rear fender (ducktail style), and several other parts. I also have several stock parts from a 2009 Rocker C. If you need anything from this list, please let me know and we can make arrangements to ship the parts, no charge.

Hey Dream, thanks a lot. We need a front wheel and the fuel tank. You let me know what you want for them. I have been having trouble finding the tank.

I know the rear fender has problems, but is rideable the way it is. I don't know my softtails, so I'm not sure on the ducktail or not. I can check on that later.
