I was just talking to a friend who is an old hot rod guy from way back. He was telling me about this Blue Magic metal polish, so I went and got some. He also said that denim is a great fabric to use for chrome and might even possibly remove very fine scratches with this blue magic. He said to put the blue magic on and scrub it for a while. Sounds like a load of crap to me, but has anyone else ever heard of this or tried this? He also said denim is great to just clean the chrome. http://bluemagicusa.com/index.php/bl...c/products/210
I used to use Blue Magic to shine up the aluminum on the engine on my 67 Mustang especilly the carb. I remember it worked like magic back then but it's probably the same thing as Mothers aluminum polish.
It ain't gonna get scratches out of chrome but it might make them less noticable. Read the instructions first to make sure it's ok on chrome and I have never heard of using denim on chrome. What would be the purpose of that? I have had my leg in denim jeans rub against the chrome air cleaner on the Sportster I had and it didn't help clean and shine it, it made it get scuffed.
I have used the blue magic and it worked pretty good. However I use the Mothers Chrome Polish and found that it works better IMO. Never heard of using denim and agree with Blanket that my jeans have left rub marks on my A/C. I have used 0000 steel wool for fine scratches in chrome with pretty good results. Just keep the steel wool wet with the chrome polish when rubbing.
Thanks for the info I will have to try it.Rick From San Diego / TJ Mexico 1992 flhtc 2002 V-Rod soon to join the 260 club Brembo Calipers front & rear AW wheels Metzelers & Dyna Beads V-mods
Blue magic is good stuff ,don't know about denim.I always use soft microcloth. My kid has all this stuff for his car. He also uses a lot of mcquires and mothers.I also use pledge all purpose. Pledge works great.
Also never heard of denim on chrome. The best for me is chrome polish, wipe with terrycloth.Aluminum,(have always polished my own, motorcycles and muscle cars) the best shine and easiest to use is AutoSol,over the last 35 yrs have tried literally everything available.
