There is a strip inside the manifold that when gets wet turns red.Your warranty is now void.This little stunt could have ended in ijury or death.Read your manuel if you even have one.

what does that mean it could have ended in injury or death? it died on me on the penna. turnpike. warranty has been up so i knew it would cost me. who pulled a stunt, i'm not evel knievel......WTF!!!!!!

it's an old trick used for a long time for cleaning the cylinder heads and piston crowns. the water will enter the chamber and immediately turn to steam, thereby steam cleaning the top end of the motor. just check your electrical connections including plug wires and you should be good to go.

if there is enough water the engine will stall before there is enough of it to cause a problem.. to cause a hydrolock you would have to literaly dump a bucket of water in the intake at high rpm, or ride into a lake, a hydrolock in a car is from a blown headgasket, or cracked block/head, the cylinder sucks in antifreze..theres ony a slight chance of that on a harley..

a little bit of methyl hydrate might help. If I get watery gas (that sounds disgusting, doesn't it) I will use some carb/injector cleaner available anywhere. Water is a way of life for a biker dude/dudette
