Well obviously I can only speak for myself but, I kinda like haveing a few on the bike. The reasons for me are twofold
1.) It reminds me to wear my helmet, after all I have a wife and 4 year old son to support.
2.) Being a fan of the Punisher (Comic Book Character for the non-geeks in the crowd) I thought I would add a few to the bike.
I must say if I can ever scrape up enough money to get the Wideglide I want, I will have to add some flames to go with the skulls on that bike to perhaps go for a "Ghost Rider" sort of thing. Eh we will see, after all being a Janitor it takes awhile to save up enough money to support my Bike habit.
I got the grips pegs shifter peg air cleaner heel rests I even used sportster feul cap medalians for tank emblems I still got to get the horn cover the mirrors and the axle covers. I don't think I missed anything lol
The skull has been an image of intimidation for eons. Look at the Jolly Roger â skull and crossbones. Biker culture strives for the same dark, bad-boy image. Black is the quintessential color for Harleys, black is still the preferred color for a Harley rider's leather. Tattoos: same thing. How many BMW riders do you see sporting a bad *** tattoo or wearing a gaudy black T-shirt? They don't decorate with skulls either. Just Harley riders...and wannabes.
I had to wear a tie to my compant Christmas party last weekend.
Went to the local HD shop and bought a black one with skulls.
