Planning a Wisc. Trip - need tips
Anyways, I came across WisconsinMotorcycling.com which has some maps and a few summaries of trips, but not much else. I figured we could hit the Onalaska area by suppertime on Friday, so we'd essentially have all day Saturday to sight-see, ride some twisties, and just generally have a good time, and head for home Sunday Morning.
Is there another area of Wisconsin within a comparable distance from Fargo that you'd recommend, or any Can't-miss locations?
Coming from your area, you have a great chance to ride along the northern edge of Wisconsin through Ashland County and end up in some small tourist town like Minocqua. Ashland County is cool -- you're following roads that follow the coast.
Just a suggestion -- have fun either way and ride safe.

Ashland Cty is cool.
I used to live in America's Dairyland and really liked riding in the northwoods, especially close to Superior, the lake, that is.
But in southern Wisconsin, there are some great rides on the county roads in the prairie, especially between Madison, the Iowa border, and Mineral Point.
OOPS, NEVER MIND. I see you are from NoDak. My sympathies to you and the family. N JOY your trip to Sconi, MY BAD.
Shoot acrossed Mn to the North Shore, then hook thru Superior, run along the northern edge, then head acrossed state towards LaCrosse. Ride thru the bluffs, then hook up with I 94 and shoot back home. That way, ya git the North Shore, a GREAT cross section of the state, and end in the Beautiful bluff country, along the river.
WATCH the trooperz over there, they are BRUTAL on tourists. Peshally BIKER tourists. Right SMOKY ??????????????????
