Can anyone give me some ideas of what to do to increase my fuel milage, my kit was installed by a Harley Dealer and they don't seem to really care . I used to get in the area of 42 miles to the gallon and now driving the same I'm down to 31 miles to the gallon. Getting about 200 km. to the tank.
Thanks pointswhat. Not sure if you got my response as I may of done it wrong. Anyways here is the info, it's a 2000 road king classic, Kerker slip on's, free flow air kit, 208 cams I believe. fuel injected.
Does it have a sert or PCIII or Harley download or other efi tuners? Sounds like the tune job is bad. I have a big motor and it gets 40-41 mpg if I keep my wrist out of it.
I know with my bike I've used 4 gals of gas for 100 miles and have also seen my mileage as high as 39.
Never broken the 40mpg barrier, but I know the way I ride has a lot to do with it
Sounds like either you got a real crappy tune job or gas is leaking somewhere... I have the 95 kit on my bagger and I can get in the high 40's if I stay off the throttle (although I seldom do)...
Thanks , /That seems to be the concensous is the Harley shop did a crappy job tuning. I've only got about 1600 km on it and the dealer says I need about 2500k before they Dyno it.
