I have the HD 2 piece suit and have had excellent results driving from washington dc to buffalo ny in a tropical depression going up the coast. My friend bought the frogtogs to save $ and his flapped around and laid on his pipe and burnt a hole in it almost instantly and he trashed them and bought the HD suit. I found mine on ebay from someone that had sold their bike and got the suit as a gift. It was still in the wrapper and I gave $50. I got my wife the same suit from HD dealership and gave $160.
HD rain gear work great in a tropical depression. I have rode in alot of them with that rain gear. A must is rain gear for boots this is not a harley type but a cheap bike week type. And gloves with rain coats.

You got that right here a great set of over boots that will compliment any rain gear.
Harley makes a good pair of boot gaiters that are around $40-$50. They pack small, and work incredibly well. I also got a pair of Gore-Tex gloves that work well.
The only thing that gets wet is my face, and a helmet change would fix that.

Great Waterproof Gloves as well or jsut rubber over gloves
Good quality HD rain gear is hard to beat and well worth the money. Good rain gear will last for years, and you don’t have to worry about taping this or watching out for that. You bought a Harley...... you didn't skimp on the bike, why would you skimp on your personal comfort and safety by buying crappy raingear??? Get the good stuff, you won’t regret it.

I gotta agree with this. There's nothing worse than riding cold and wet.
If only Harley made a Gore-Tex rainsuit in a brighter color than black.
I personally use harley 2 piece rain gear (just about everyday in the summer here in FLA). Mine are 8 years old and still as good as day 1. i think they cost about $125 to $150 today. FXRG are excellent if you want to pony up about a grand, and frogtoggs are excellent light weight rain gear, they just melt if they touch the exhaust, they are cheap though, around $40
