Default Some good news please....?

I know it is a reality that bikes and cars crash, but lately there are so many threads about negative things. Yes I know that Roethlisberger crashed and was not wearing a helmet, but I have read so may threads about crashes, and people dropping their bikes and being hit by animals.... I know we all like to know what the community thinks and feels out there, but can someone post a thread about an amazing ride that went well, or something positive like that????? I'm starting to get depressed reading all of this!

13-year-old N.J. girl wins spelling bee
AP -
WASHINGTON - A 13-year-old New Jersey girl making her fifth straight appearance at the Scripps National Spelling Bee rattled off "ursprache" to claim the title of America's best speller Thursday on prime-time television. Katharine Close, an eighth-grader at the H.W. Mountz School in Spring Lake, N.J., is the first girl since 1999 to win the national spelling title.

First let me say,...My bike is perfect,...never had any trouble with it! I see alot of stuff wrong with other bike on here,...but apparantly I 've been lucky. 10,000 miles on this one,..and not a glitch.

My two kids went sleep over at friends houses last weekend. Saturday night, me and the wife took off on the bike. We rode down some country roads around here,.it was nice, sun was setting, light breeze,.....we rode to a small cajun seafood resturaunt just off I-49 near the Bunkie Louisiana exit, called The Catfish Kitchen(btw....best seafood in this area) dumpy little place with antiques hanging all over the walls,...but good food. We ate, and had a couple beers. We took our time riding home, enjoying the ride along bayou huffpower,..and listening to the frogs and crickets chirping as we drove down the lane. Not another vehicle in sight. We made it home about 9:00pm,..and had some championship sex,....you know the kind,...when the kids aint home. Anyway,...afterwards we fixed each a ice cream "bowlie" and watched a horror flick. ,........................was an excellent "date-nite" with the wife.

We normally take-off on dates like this at every chance we get,..especially when we don't have to worry about the kids.

We've been married 18 years and we still croon over each other like when we dated,....kinda a rarity these days.

Hope this lightens your spirits!

Now that is my kind of day.

I had s good day on Saturday bought some new chrome for my bike. Had a good steak dinner and a couple beers with my wife. Her mom had the kids for the night. Got home had some white russians on the back porch. Then we went indoors for some great sex while the rain fell on the roof. Woke up the next day and had some great wake me up sex. We have been together for 16 years and act like newlyweds.

Oh yeah and my bike is great, no problems except like my wife I can't stay off her.

Let's see...a few more happy thoughts...

First, Miss Close did not cheat on that spelling bee. I was sick with a terrible cold, feeling sorry for myself, and passed the time by watching the event on TV. I'm glad I did. Most of the words those kids were spelling absolutely stumped me.

Second, Seth, it's good to hear you and the wifey get along so well. Send me a PM the next time you get down to the Lafayette/Bike Barn Saloon area. It would be a pleasure to meet you.

Finally, jt1965, I relate to the "can't stay off her" when it comes to my bike. If only I could find a woman that kept me similarly enthralled. [8D]

Here's my good news:

My bike will stay in absolutely prestine condition this week because concrete probably won't be done in time to ride this weekend.(Delayed due to electrical lot box replacement).[:@]

While my bike is in concrete jail: I will be removing my saddlebags for return to the dealer in anticipation of recieving my shiny new ones that are detachable and larger.

I have ordered my new Samson True Dual pipes and fishtail mufflers (sadly they are on backorder) to make my look and sound much prettier . (oh and they will allow for the bigger bags)
