I know what you mean. Seems like nothing but bad news lately, but maybe this will help you with your little slump. Our Green Chili Run went without a hitch this past weekend. Here are some pics for you:

Seth, I like the sound of your latest good news report. Unfortunately, it's not even 9 a.m. right now, and it will be a long stretch before I too can make the happy announcement that I am going home for the day. Still, my good news for you is to check your PM box. I should have a message to you shortly (after I get a few things done around here... (sigh) [&o] ).
I am 11 pay checks away from being able to pull the trigger on a shiney new scoot to replace my wore out one. It wore out not because it was poorley made, but because it proudly served the DC Police department for 20 years and 117,00 miles pulling a side car while patrolling the streets, then serving me for the last 19 years and another 49,000 miles. Some years it saw more riding than others, some years it sat (during my ownership of a FLSTC) more than it rode.
I have had to fix it, but not all the time. I learned to prevent some things and I learned to just live with some things
I have never had a serious incident in all of my years riding. This covers everything from my old Yamaha 100 dirt bike, to my 1984 Kawasaki GPZ 750 turbo, to my 1970 Norton 850 Commando and all the bikes in between. I am by FAR not the best rider in the world, I am just careful and much less stupid than I used to be. Yes I have fallen a few times, like trying to get onto Whites Ferry in the rain. Foot slipped, down I go. Or trying to impress friends by doing a burn out with the Norton (those tires heat up fast and find traction when you least expect it) But I have never been really hurt. I like to ride - it is not some death sentence or a fatal disease. The less careful you are - the more likely you will get hurt. That goes for EVERYTHING from Sex to motorcycles.
That is the good news I have to share with you today.
But, are you affraid to die ?
Its just like being a soldier, if youre affraid to die then you'll always be nervous about death and accident when you ride your bike.
We re not immortal. Just ride slowly and safely.
My bike is stored for a while, i won't be using until next summer 07. Anyway, You can always do like me and all store your bike, you'll live longer
