this was brought up a while back but what about a separate section for the people that love posting, and linking news articles about bikers getting hit, killed, going down, becoming vegetables etc...?????
in all seriousness i think it's a good idea since like half the posts during "riding season" seem to be related to bikers getting killed or hit, it could definitely carry its own section. Who wants to read about this all the time? i get enough of that crap from the people who don't ride lecturing me on how dangerous it is and how their 'insert dead guy here' got killed. i never click on them but sometimes the title is misleading.
This is not a new suggestion, it's come up before. Sometimes I'm surprised at the sources of such suggestions. "Whatever."
Postings about accidents, tragedies, problems etc are not "negative nancies" (what a ridiculous term). They are relevant to all of us, and serve as regular reminders to ride safe. You can skip them if you don't like reading them. There's plenty of posts about chaps or color schemes or how to start a motorcycle. Read those.

1. i stated this suggestion has come up before in my original post.
2. i don't need to read message board posts to "remember to ride safe". if you do you should stop riding.
3. i don't read them but more times than not the titles do not accurately describe the contents of the topic, a separate section will cure that because we'll know all posts in that section are about bikers getting killed in accidents.
4. did you read anything i actually posted? from your response i imagine you didn't
5. would "debbie downers" be better?
Sorry, but in 2007 I almost got killed by a drunk driver. I have only related the story here twice and both times I only referred to it without going into all the gory details and there were plenty.
The ones that really **** me off are the ones with titles like "This is weird" or "Man! Can't believe this" and then you click and it's "BIKER SPLATTERED ALL OVER THE HIGHWAY TODAY!!!!" Film at Eleven.
I guess I just don't like seeing that drunk in the red car turning in front of me right before I slammed into him over and over! At least clearly title the thread, eg., "Hey guys, wanna read about another dead biker?"
