Does anybody else have this paint set and are you satisfied with it?
Seems to be lacking and way to faint.
I know the idea is for it to be ghostly or faint but it seems to be way to faint even in bright sun light.
Trust me, there is no need for Firefox to post pics. Just imagine a solid black bike, with a nice bar shield on the tank.
Having seen this set in white and red, I thought the flame contrast was perfect, and being a lover of black bikes, I ordered one for my RK. And yes I agree: Way lacking and way too faint. But I am not so dissatisfied that I am looking for anything else just yet. I already knew going in that I would rather it come in too much on the subtle side, than on the outlandish side. My last bike had a way out paint job, and everywhere I went people would come over and start a conversation, "hey great paint, wow, that's cool, who did it? how much was it? where did you get the idea for that? I knew a guy who had a bike that with a paint job that was even cooler than yours, you should a seen it, it was yada yada yada, on and on and on. Sorry to sound antisocial, but I ride everywhere and man I couldn't get in and out of restaurants or the store or even fill up with gas without either having a 10 minute conversation or come of feeling rude as hell.
Oh hell I dug up a few sh1tty quality pics I took with my cell phone, in the bright sunlight, and just tell me if you can see a trace of a flame. One of these days I'm going to get her cleaned up and take some good quality pics, but try as I might I'm sure I will not be able to capture anything of the flames. Here goes:
I've had those tins on my bike for over 6 months, but I am thinking about writing a letter to HD for misleading sales material on the black ghost flames. Well, really just plain fraudelant. The product does not match the picture, and really they should give us a new product. In the pic they use for advertising, the flames are subtle, but they're there and can be seen. I'll let you know if I can find out who to try to contact. Are you interested in trying this with me to see if I can get them to straighten this out with a new set, like in the picture? I will gladly return the old set. Of course the real b1tch will be having to put them on again.
