Hi. I posted this in one of the tech forums and I haven't received feedback so I thought I'd post it here too. I hope you don't mind.
I have an '09 Dyna with around 1k miles on it. I recently bought a lightly used PCV that was on an '09 Street Bob for less than a year and less than 1k miles. I installed the unit according to directions and sent the proper map to the unit - stock intake and exhaust, everything stock. The unit performed according to everything I heard and read, except when at a constant cruise at 4th or higher gear the engine will 'blip', or act like it just missed one combustion. It's like a one miss hesitation. I just installed the unit on Saturday and during an around town ride later that day i had no problems. Saturday night i got onto some bigger roads at constant higher speeds in higher gears and thats when i began to experience the 'blip' or single misfire or ultra brief hesitation. It happened approx 6 times in a 1 hour ride. I've gone back and checked my work and read the manual and user's guide again.
i agree. sounds like you have the a/f mixture at that rpm and throttle position adjusted wrong. Its too lean or too rich at that point. Dynojet's customer service is great. Dont hesitate to call them with any tuning issues
I'm a dumbass. It was one of the ignition wires. One of them was pulled quite a bit away from it's seat when I removed the side cover and electrical box to install the Power Commander. I never noticed it until this evening when i was just looking over the motorcycle. I pushed the connector back onto it's seat and checked the other, then took her out for a test ride. No more problem. Dumbass. Sorry, and thanks for your responses!
