Default Dynabeads....wow....#2

Just thought I'd post my experience with them.

Got a nail in the rear last week and had an interesting sudden loss of air (not quite a blowout!)

Patched the almost new rear tire and put some dynabeads into the new tube. Removed the wheel weights. OMG, it's smooth as butter at all speeds.

Immediately returned home and put another 2 oz into the front tire.

These things are nearly miraculous! I'm going to try them in my 38" truck tires next.

How did you put them in? Throught the valve stem while the tires were on the bike or did you take the tires off and do it that way? I want to get this done soon.

They pour in thru the valve stem. You remove the metal thing from the stem and poor them in using the supplied bottle or they can be installed when you have the tires replaced. I plan on trying it when I replace the tires on my RK.

I didn't buy the applicator for $8.99 (read rip off)

I used a clear piece of tubing about 10" long and screwed that onto the valve stem with the valve removed. I then poured about 1/2 oz of dynabead into the tubing and agitated with a 12" piece of MIG wire until all the beads fell into the tire tube. The tires were on the bike at the time and they have side mount valve stems.

The whole process took one beer, even with the funny side mount valves.

Hope this helps......

It all depends on where you buy your stuff. Here is an applicator for $2.99 or the whole starter kit:

First time I used them I paid @$7.00 for an ounce of beads at my local Zoom-Splatt dealer and used a cake icing dealio to put them in with.
