Question HD Boom Audio Tank Pouch iPod Fitment?

I just bought one of the new Boom Audio Tank Pouches and stuck my 2nd generation iPod Touch in it to find that it's a squeeze to get it in the case using the cushion spacer they give you with it and that the audio out hole on the bottom of the case is about 3/8 of an inch to the right of the iPod's audio out.

I've PM'd with another forum member and his audio out lined up. Not sure yet if his iPod is a 1st or second generation iPod yet.

Has anyone else on here tried one with a 2nd generation iPod Touch? After looking on the web it looks like the 2nd gen is a little thicker and has more of a contoured shape so I'm trying to find out if my case is defective or if these were designed specifically for the 1st generation iPod Touches.

I'd try another but none of the dealers in my area have any left and they're on backorder until October. I know I can poke another hole in it to line up but where it needs to be is right where a seam is along the bottom of the case and I can see that ripping out as time goes by.

Thanks.

I was thinking of getting that today, but my HD dealer was out. Wondering if it will work with my iPhone 3g. Will post a review as soon as I get one. Wondering if its weather resistant though.

It works fine with iPhones. Take the pad out of it for the iPhone, the pad is to hold in place smaller units like the Nano.

I ended up taking it back. Without the pad it was so loose you couldn't really use the touchscreen and I didn't want to poke another hole in it right on the seam.

In looking at other cases and mounts they all indicate that you can't use the same one for 1st and 2nd generation units. Looking I see that you can get a complete RAM mount setup with the cradle for about 40.00 so may go that route instead.
