There are plenty of stories out here now with many police departments holding safety checks and all mc's are being sucked in. If all riders could ride responsibly then this may not be an issue but as we know there are enough adam henry's out here to ruin it for all. Example: I walk a few miles everyday trying to get back into shape. A few days ago I was walking through a neighborhood with hundreds of homes surrounding both sides of the road. I ever wear an IPOD so I don't hear many noises. I could hear the roar of a rider cranking up his straight pipes well before he got to me. He was on a slight incline and was making more than enough noise to wake the dead. I love the sound of a good throaty muffler but some go way overboard. Like I said. We are our own worse enemy at times and have no one to blame but ourselves.

I'm with you brother...that's why we do what we do because we like what we like...I like my bike the way it is a nice deep muscle-car-like roar...if someone likes to ride a sewing machine thats for them...

but in my opinion I think the loud pipes are one of the reasons we fell in love with Harleys in the first place...am I right? even I am wrong its one of the reasons I fell in love with them...the Fonz's bike was loud and even Mrs. C loved it!

True, Dat!

You get it - for sure.
I love the video you made, and I noted that you baby it around the neighborhood.

I am so tired of the you shouldn't have loud pipe whiners.. I love them .I believe they work in getting people to notice your there. As soon as I can afford them I am getting the loudest most obnoxious deafening pipes that are made.

Hey on the same kind of note.. Jesse James Dupree (the singer for the band Jackyl (sp) buys his bikes at he same dealer I go to.. He just bought a new streetglide.. Today I took mine in for service work and almost had em right the paper work up on Jessie's old one.. 1 yr old Streetglide ,, only 4000 miles on it. not a scratch on it. reinharts exhaust that sounded great.
